Book'em creates a more literate Nashville by helping economically disadvantaged children from birth through high school discover the joy and value of reading through book ownership and enthusiastic volunteers.

In 2016, Book'em provided more than 78,000 books to 80 organizations to give to the youth they serve. About 230 reading role model volunteers visited elementary and Pre-K classrooms throughout the year - encouraging and motivating 3,600 students to read.

The demand for books and reading volunteers is immense. Every family in Nashville should have plenty of books in their homes, but that's not the case. Please help Book'em provide more books and reading volunteers to those in Davidson County who need them by donating through The Big Payback.
